Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog, Private Practice Pain Doc! This site was inspired by the professional and personal challenges that come with opening and maintaining a private practice, and to try and fill the tremendous gap in knowledge that doctors have when it comes to business.

I own and operate a pain management specialty clinic, and I also practice anesthesiology as a locums provider. Making a living this way isn’t for everybody in medicine. But if you are willing to take some risks and bet on yourself, I think you will find that private practice is not only rewarding, but less daunting than you might think.

There are some basic steps necessary to get started, and lots of learning along the way. While my specialty of pain management is very specific, I will try to provide insights that should be useful to doctors of all types who are considering starting a private practice of their own!
